Sorrow’s Verse

You can never take it for granted, because

You may very well find yourself begging to know why this trouble was granted.

And while with the same casual slip, your new reality will envelop you,

Inevitably, the curtains of this freshly pressed illusion will collapse into

a wrinkled heap.

So, kiss those beloved lips.

Cling to that irreplaceable embrace. For indeed,

It cannot last, nor be replaced.

For as much fleeting sorrow, each sunny endowment must set.
